Interested in airline or career pilot training? A discovery flight is a must, to make sure you’re ready to discover your wings! A discovery flight is a mini flight lesson. We offer gift certificates for these as well. The future student will get a chance to take the controls under the watchful guidance of a FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Your introductory flight will be approximately 45 minutes. Prior to taking your flight, your instructor will walk you through preflighting the aircraft to gain a basic understanding of what all pilots do before their flight to ensure that the aircraft is in airworthy condition.
Discovery flight time can be entered in your logbook and will count toward the 40 hour FAA training requirement when you, the future student can continue training. This is a deeply discounted price from a normal lesson, but we can only offer one of these per student due to TSA security regulations. However, additional lesson time can be purchased at our normal rates after enrollment and proof of citizenship. A logbook is not included in this price, as some folks have different goals in mind. But if you are an airline or career type pilot, a logbook would be a great second purchase as you continue down the path towards your dreams!
If you are interested in becoming an airline pilot or have a career in aviation, we suggest a discovery flight to be used for the admissions flight. An admissions flight lets you take control of the airplane, and discover what it’s like to fly an airplane with you in charge. As an airline pilot, you will be responsible for the aircraft and all of the passengers onboard. You will use inspection checklists, takeoff checklists and landing checklists to name a few. Get started the right way by letting us train you to be safe and competent. Let’s make sure that flying is truly the dream you are seeking, and we can help you discover YOUR wings!
Discovery Flights are $250 per flight, but...
You get $100 back on the day of your solo!
The student at the controls gets the credit, can’t be given to anyone else, and is not returned through cash or any equivalent currency other than account credit in FlightSchedulePro.
